After all of my promises to keep up with this blog & all of my good intentions..Well, you can see how long it’s been since I’ve posted. I ‘m sure you’re familiar with the old saying- the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I have managed to lose roughly 15 pounds since the middle of May. Method- keeping a food journal & an exercise journal. Not counting calories, but being honest about every morsel.

I hiked & did interval training four or five days a week. I included (dragged) my kids during their summer break. Initially they whined, but quickly the older two outpaced me. Only the youngest would keep me company- what a chatterbox.

Between my other blog & the written journals, I found keeping up with this one too much. Over the last four or five weeks, though, I haven’t lost any weight. I stopped working my plan. I haven’t gained weight, but I want/need to lose more.

So here I am yet again. Trying to get back on plan. Reminding myself that good eating is a forever lifestyle change, not something to go onto & off of like a train. Likewise exercise.

Onwards & downwards.
